Heavy Rains Trigger Tree Fall Incidents Across Pune; Fire Brigade Mobilized

Pune, 10th May 2024: The onset of heavy rains in various parts of Pune city has led to a surge in incidents of tree felling, prompting swift response from the fire brigade.

As of 4:30 PM, the fire brigade control room has recorded a total of 10 instances of trees collapsing at different locations within the city.

The reported incidents highlight the areas affected:

1. 03:30 PM – Kondhwa Khurd, Near Shital Petrol Pump
2. 03:35 PM – Dhayari Road, Near Jyoti Bakery
3. 03:38 PM – Bhawani Peth, near Mecca Masjid
4. 03:56 PM – Beside Erandwana Fire Station
5. 04:03 PM – Kondhwa Budruk
6. 04:05 PM – Yerwada, Sadal Baba Chowk
7. 04:20 PM – Lohianagar
8. 04:22 PM – Kothrud, Girija Shankar Society
9. 04:30 PM – Swargate, Vega Center
10. 04:30 PM – Near Swargate Police Line

In response to these incidents, fire brigade teams have been deployed to the affected areas to manage the situation and ensure the safety of residents. The teams are actively engaged in the removal of fallen trees to clear the roadways and prevent any potential hazards to public safety.

Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any instances of tree instability or damage to the fire brigade. Additionally, motorists are advised to exercise caution while commuting.
