Hinjawadi Industries Association HIA volunteers in fight against Coronavirus

Pune, April 28, 2020: Hinjawadi Industries Association (HIA), an association of 97 member companies has been actively participating in the fight against COVID-19. Various companies of HIA have been extending a helping hand to the migrant labour and other poor and needy people through distribution of rations and other necessities.
This effort continues as more and more requirements are coming up. HIA member companies have also distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and sanitisers in large numbers for the medical staff, police personnel and the cleaning staff. In addition to the above assistance that companies are offering, the Managing Committee Hinjawadi Industries Association allocated Rs 50 lakhs towards the efforts to fight the pandemic.
“Dr Satish Pai, President HIA handed over to the Pune District Collector, cheques for contribution towards PM CARES and for the Chief Minister’s Fund. He also handed over 500 complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits for further distribution to hospitals”, HIA stated in a press release.
HIA also procured about 850 dry ration packets. The packets consist of rice, atta, dal, oil and condiments. The consignment has been handed over to SDO Pune and Mulshi Tehsildar for further distribution as required at various camps.
