Hinjawadi to be redeveloped on the lines of Navi Mumbai, new DP submitted to Pune ZP

Pune, 6th August 2020: Hinjawadi village will soon be developed on the lines of Navi Mumbai, and a development plan has been chalked out and approved by the Pune Zilla Parishad (ZP) for the same. The project will require a total budget of Rs 25 crores. Central as well as State Government, along with funds from the District Planning Committee, Gram Nidhi, etc.

Pune ZP CEO Ayush Prasad and deputy CEO Sandeep Kohinkar had visited Hinjawadi a few days ago, and they realised that there was a need to address the multiple challenges that the residents were facing. The CEO had instructed the drafting of an all-inclusive development plan to be submitted to the ZP. Hinjawadi Gram Panchayat has created the said DP with the help of local representatives, industrial estate representatives and administrative officers.

As per the plan, Hinjawadi will get solid waste management and disposal plants, public restrooms, CCTV camera control rooms, administrative building, crematorium, rainwater harvesting plants, playground and Nana-Nani park, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Repair work will be conducted for anganwadi and school in the village, and roads and chowks will be beautified.
