Pune, February 23, 2018: HORIBA India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HORIBA Japan, has introduced its flagship product range ‘ENDA – 5000’ series, a stack gas monitor system that is useful for compliance monitoring of the exhaust gas from the stack of a stationary source. It will be important for meeting the tighter Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) norms. An announcement to this effect was made by Dr. Jai Hakhu, Chairman, HORIBA India during a Press Conference held in the city today.

Other dignitaries of the HORIBA including Prakash Abhyankar, Segment Head, Automotive Test System, Shinya Nakamura, Process & Environmental Segment, Global Business Division, Rajeev Gautam, President and Suparna Banerjee Bhattacharyya, Finance Controller were present at the occasion.

Talking about this revolutionary product Dr. Hakhu said, “After grand success in Japan and China we are happy to introduce this product in the Indian market, which will prove to be very useful for compliance monitoring of air pollution.”

“It would be particularly effective in highly polluting industries like electric power, cement, iron and steel, pharmaceutical, fertilizers, refiners, pesticides, textiles and tanneries to name a few. Since the system is designed to handle harsh process conditions it can be extremely useful for any industry that emits gaseous pollutants into atmosphere to monitor its degree of pollution as prescribed by the pollution control boards,” he added.

The Central and the state pollution control boards have prescribed standards for various pollutants emitted by the industries as notified by the environment protection act 1986. In such case, the compliance monitoring needs to be strengthened and needs to more accurate to ensure that emissions are within the stipulated norms. Therefore, the Stack Gas Analyzer has become the necessity for such industries.

Based on the application the cost of product would be in the range of Rs.15-20 Lakhs. Though a new entrant in this segment in India, HORIBA is targeting to gain 20% market share in the next couple of years.
