Host teams make winning start At the St Vincents Junior leagues Tournament

Pune, January 13, 2024: Shaurya Menge hammered six goals to help St Patrick A register a 9-0 win over Azam Campus in their opening Hockey league match at the St Vincent’s Junior Leagues Tournament which is being organized by St Vincents High School and Junior College and played on their ground.

In the football league four goals by Anish Lodha and hattrick by Joel Cherian helped hosts St Vincent A team to outplay Dastur Boys 9-0

In basketball St Vincent’s ‘A’ outplayed St. Patricks 21-8 while the B team ran through Fr. Agnel team 20- 3

The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Punit Balan, Director of Punit Balan Group. Fr. Francis Dsouza, Manager of the St Vicnents High School, Mr. Pravin Pardeshi, President of the Guruji Talim Mitra Mandal. And Mr. Anjaneya Sathe.

Opening introduction of the league given by Dr. Wilson Andrews, he explained the benefits of the league towards the grassroot development of the students and how St. Vincents started this league 10 years ago.

Fr Francis Patekar , Principal of St Vincents school , Welcomed all the Guests and participating schools their coaches, parents and students for the league and wished them good luck.

Mr. Punit Balan gave an word of encouraging and inspired the young budding athletes of the league in his speech, he wished good luck to the participating athletes and coaches. Fr. Raja , Vice- Principal of the school gave Vote of thanks.
