Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th January 2024: When questioned about the legal proceedings concerning the accusations he levied against the present Minister of Medical Education, Hassan Mushrif, and Shiv Sena (Shinde Faction) M.P. Bhavana Gawli, Kirit Somaiya responded by stating that he has submitted all relevant documents regarding the corruption charges to the investigation agencies. In response to the proofs presented, authorities have taken actions such as attaching properties belonging to the accused members. “Now let the court decide their future,” he added.

Somaiya had previously accused Mushrif and Bhavana of serious corruption charges. At that time, both Mushrif and Bhavana were associated with parties opposing the BJP. Interestingly, they are currently members of factions sharing power with the BJP in the state.

Somaiya also claimed to have unearthed about 39 corruption scandals, submitting relevant documents to national investigation agencies. These agencies acknowledged the evidence, leading to raids on various premises related to the accused members and the attachment of properties linked to the scandals. “I can’t wear the black jacket of lawyers and fight the case in courts, so let the courts do their job,” he remarked.

When questioned about the TDR scam related to the PCMC, Somaiya diplomatically chose to maintain silence, stating that it’s not within his purview.
