IGNOU Extends Admission Deadline for July 2025 Session Till 15th August
New Delhi, 1st August: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for fresh admissions to its July 2025 academic session. Students interested in enrolling in Online Distance Learning (ODL) or fully online programmes now have time until 15th August 2025 to submit their applications. The earlier deadline was 31st July.
This extension applies to all courses offered through both ODL and online modes. Aspirants can explore the full list of available programmes on the official portal dedicated to online offerings — iop.ignouonline.ac.in.
Confirming the extension via social media, IGNOU stated, “Last date for submission of Application to ODL and Online Programmes extended till 15th August 2025.”

1) Visit the official website – ignou.ac.in
2) Navigate to the ‘Register Online’ section and click on ‘Fresh Admissions’
3) Select ‘New Registrations’
4) Enter the required registration details
5) Create a Username and Password
6) Complete the application form and submit
7) Use the login credentials sent to your email and phone to log in
8) Choose your desired programme
9) Finalise and submit the registration form
