Mumbai, 2nd February 2018: IMG Reliance and Lakmé Fashion Week have always been in the forefront for setting trends and have pioneered several new initiatives like The Sustainable Fashion Day and Studio shows.

At Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018, the latest IMG Reliance and Lakmé Fashion Week initiative was “The Showroom Edit”, which was displayed at The Showroom. 25 labels that participated with stalls in The Showroom displayed one garment to a very appreciative and thrilled audience.

“It is the first time we are hosting a fashion sequence at the Showroom to showcase the collections of the designers that are exclusively showcasing for buyers only. This is another step towards enhancing the business of fashion at Lakmé Fashion Week,” revealed Jaspreet Chandok, Vice President and Fashion Head, IMG Reliance.

The Showroom venue was packed to capacity as the fast paced show by 25 designers started to the beat of throbbing music. The variety of clothes covered a cross section of styles, designs, detailing and embellishments that will set the trend for the coming season. From cute, summer dresses in vibrant colours to comfortable semi-formal clothes and then went on to some gorgeous formal and couture Indian/Western creations.
