Implementation of RERA Act beneficial for all sections
State RERA Chairman Shri Desa’s address in national conference

Speaking at the National Conference in New Delhi as a special spokesperson, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Shri Anthony Desa said that the successful implementation of the RERA Act is beneficial for all sections of the society. The Act has an important role in providing quality accommodation on time to the needy. This will also contribute in empowering the country’s economy, while benefiting the real estate sector.
Shri Desa said that it is essential to register under construction and new residential projects, under the RERA Act by running a campaign. This will make it easy to solve the problems of allottees. He said that by resolving the complaints under the Act the problems of allottees will be solved and the real estate sector will also be encouraged. Shri Desa explained the need to make the RERA Authority more powerful.
Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India Shri D.S. Mishra, emphasized the need to create a favorable environment in the states towards the RERA Act. He said that the RERA Authority will have to show presence in the states by reaching out to various zones so that the resident parties get the proper benefit of the provisions of the Act.
The national conference was organized by the Government of India to discuss the possibility of improving and speeding up implementation of the RERA Act. The conference included representatives of the Urban Housing Ministry, the Secretary of Government of India, the Chairman of RERA Authority of the states, representatives of CREDAI and NAREDCO and representatives of the Real Estate Agent Association and the Housing Association.
