India – Arab Chamber will act as a bridge, facilitator between the Indian & Arab Market – Anirban Sarkar

Pune – A lot of business opportunities are coming up in the Arab World. There is a huge scope for the business development in this part of the world and Indian business houses must exploit the opportunity, said Anirban Sarkar, President of India – Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.

On Wednesday a seminar was held in pune on “Trade, Bussiness Opportunity in Arab Countries” was addressed by Sarkar at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Auditorium. This seminar was attended by many city based small medium entrepreneurs.

Sarkar elaborated on the business scope and potential in Arab countries with current political situation and their approach. He also explained the policies of different Arab countries and of the Chamber. He said that countries like Yemen, Iraq, Syria and others have suffered badly due to the terrorism and countries like Russia, USA and other European countries are pumping money to reconstruct these countries. He further pushed the Indian He further pushed the Indian SME’s by saying “However, the redevelopment projects can be grabbed by the Indian companies”.

Sarkar, who has been recently appointed as President of the Chamber, said the chamber receives queries from the different governments and the Chamber will be happy to forward these queries to the Indian business. “The Chamber will act as a bridge between Indian companies/business houses and with the Arab countries. The Chamber will take of the finance and will also ensure that property security to the Indian companies is provided during their operations in the Arab countries, especially in Syria and Iraq.”

Sarkar said that he will be promoting Indian companies and SMEs in Arab Countries. “I will be happy if more Pune based SMEs will come forward,” he said. Our vision is to promote economic and cultural partnership between India and Arab countries by endorsing sustainable socio-economic development model and capacity building in several key sectors.
