About 2,00,000 students vie for the top rankings

Pune, September 8, 2015: P. Mithun from Navi Mumbai was bestowed with the title of ‘India’s Best Student’ at the prestigious and widely acclaimed talent search contest organized by Rao IIT. Three bright students made it to the top amongst 2,00,000 who participated across the country.

The contest in its 3rd edition conducted the tests in three challenging stages. Amongst the 2,00,000 students that participated for the honorific of India’s Best Student, 10,000 were selected for stage II further narrowing 100 for stage III. The examinations had aptitude test in science and maths and personal interview in its final stage.

The second and third position was bagged by Shravan Ravi (Bengaluru) and Danish Mohammad (Pune) respectively.

Mr. Vinay Kumar, MD and CEO, Rao IIT expressed “The contest this year amongst its wide spread participation, witnessed unprecedented enthusiasm amongst students. It was a not easy for us to select the top students. We had a tough time since the talent levels were really high. I wish prize winners zenith of their success.”

The 1st ranker will be awarded Rs.10 lakhs, 2nd Ranker with Rs. 8 lakhs and the 3rd will get with Rs. 7 lakhs. Likewise, top 5 schools who will contribute the maximum talent to this contest will be awarded Rs 1 lakh each.
