Indian Air Force Heroes Honored: Republic Day 2024 Gallantry Awards Revealed
Delhi, 26th January 2024: On the occasion of Republic Day 2024, a commendable recognition of valor has been bestowed upon Indian Air Force personnel by President Of India Droupadi Murmu. Among the distinguished awardees are Wing Commander Shailesh Singh (29507) and Flight Lieutenant Hrishikesh Jayan Karuthedath (36810), both recognized with the Shaurya Chakra for their exemplary contributions in the field of flying.
Additionally, Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) has been conferred upon Group Captain Pankaj Gupta (21218), a retired flying pilot, as well as Wing Commander Momin Mohammed Hafeezulla (29204) and Squadron Leader Nikita Malhotra (34919), both serving in flying roles. The gallant efforts and dedication of Wing Commander Vishal Lakesh (26730), an Administration/Parachute Jump Instructor, have also been acknowledged with the Vayu Sena Medal.
