Indian Army and IAF Conduct Joint Airborne Exercise ‘MaruJwala’ Under Southern Command
Pune/Jaisalmer, 12th November 2025: In a striking demonstration of inter-service coordination and combat preparedness, the Indian Army and Indian Air Force jointly executed an airborne operation as part of Exercise MaruJwala. The exercise supported Sudarshan Chakra Corps operations under the Southern Command and formed a key component of the ongoing Integrated Tri-Services Exercise Trishul.
The large-scale drill showcased precision, coordination, and operational excellence between the Army and Air Force, underscoring India’s growing focus on integrated warfare capabilities.

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, witnessed the exercise and lauded the participating troops for their professionalism and mission-ready synergy. He commended the Airborne Forces, Sudarshan Chakra Corps, and the Indian Air Force for maintaining a high level of operational preparedness.
Exercise MaruJwala highlighted the seamless integration of planning and execution between the Indian Armed Forces, reaffirming their ability to conduct complex joint operations in diverse terrain and operational scenarios.
