Indian Association of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists held IAPA 2025 at AFMC Pune

Pune, 19th February 2025: The 16th Annual National Conference of Indian Association of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (IAPA) – 2025, a leading event for professionals in paediatric anaesthesia, successfully concluded this week in collaboration with Society of Defence Anaesthesiologists at the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra.

Founded in March 2006 at Mumbai, with the aim of safer paediatric anaesthesia, IAPA has grown in strength with over 880 life members. The Annual National Conference of IAPA brings together experts and healthcare professionals from across the country to exchange knowledge, share innovative practices, and advance the field of paediatric anaesthesia.

Held from 14 Feb to 16 Feb 2025, the conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Maj Gen B Nambiar, AVSM, SM, VSM, Commandant, Command Hospital (SC) Pune, and featured an array of in-depth workshops, interactive panels, and insightful keynote speeches, aimed at addressing the latest trends, challenges, and advancements in paediatric anaesthesia. With over 450 attendees, the event provided a unique opportunity for professionals to collaborate on enhancing patient safety, optimizing care, and improving surgical outcomes for children.

The conference also highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary approaches to paediatric care, featuring discussions on working closely with paediatric surgeons, nurses, and other specialists to ensure holistic care. AFMC’s state-of-the-art facilities and training environments enabled hands-on demonstrations and simulations, offering IAPA 2025 attendees an opportunity to practice skills and techniques in real-life scenarios.
