Indian Red Cross Society Inaugurates Physiotherapy Department in Pune
Pune, 11th May 2026: The Indian Red Cross Society, Pune District Branch inaugurated its new Physiotherapy Department on 8 May 2026 at Red Cross House, Camp, Pune. The initiative has been supported by leading IT products and Services company ‘Entrata’ and aims to provide accessible and affordable physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to patients and the community.
Dr. Vikram Phatak, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Pune Chapter, Mr. Mabrin Nanavatti,Vice Chairman., Prof. R.V. Kulkarni , Hon. Secretary Indian Red Cross Society, Pune Chapter and Mr. Rakesh Ramchandani, Managing Director, Entrata and member of the managing committee along with other members were present on the occasion. The inauguration was held alongside the observance of World Red Cross Day and International Thalassemia Day under the theme “United in Humanity”.
The event also highlighted the importance of humanitarian work, blood donation, healthcare awareness and thalassemia prevention through timely screening and counselling. Office bearers of the organisation reiterated their commitment towards expanding healthcare support initiatives for the benefit of society.
