IndiGo Flight Chaos at Pune Airport: Cancellations and Delays Leave Flyers Stranded
Pune, 4th December 2025: Flight operations of IndiGo at Pune Airport have been hit badly over the last two days, resulting in multiple cancellations and long delays that left travellers frustrated and stranded. At least two flights were cancelled and several others ran late, affecting hundreds of passengers.
The Nagpur–Pune service (6E 835) scheduled late Tuesday night failed to operate, while the early morning Pune–Bengaluru departure (6E 6564) on Wednesday was also grounded. In another instance, the Pune–Delhi flight (6E 6675) departed nearly five hours behind schedule. Airport sources indicated that more disruptions could continue as operational challenges persist.
According to him, passengers remained inside the bus for over an hour without information. “Eventually, we were dropped back at arrivals. When we tried to re-enter for check-in, we were blocked by CISF. Around 2.15am, they finally told us the flight was cancelled. My friends and I took a cab to Pune and paid around Rs 30,000. They said the next available flight was two days later,” he added.
An IndiGo spokesperson acknowledged the widespread disruption and expressed regret. The airline attributed the situation to “a multitude of unforeseen operational challenges”, including the impact of updated Flight Duty Time Limitations for crew. “We are implementing calibrated schedule adjustments over the next 48 hours to restore normalcy. Our teams are working round the clock to assist affected customers with alternative travel arrangements or refunds,” the statement said.
Another flyer, who was supposed to travel to Delhi, said he waited for hours after being told of a “technical issue” before cancelling his plans altogether. Flight tracking data later showed the aircraft eventually departed around 12.27pm — nearly five hours late.
With travel disruption continuing at Pune Airport, passengers are calling for better communication and timely assistance from the airline as the situation stabilises.
