Janta Curfew in Hinjawadi, Maan, Marunji, Jambhe, Nerhe from tomorrow
Pune, July 8, 2020: Local residents have called for strict lockdown in Hinjawadi, known as the IT hub, and surrounding villages from tomorrow (Thursday) in the wake of the rising coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases. The shutdown will be implemented in Hinjawadi, Maan, Marunji, Jambhe and Nerhe. Meanwhile, the Gram Panchayats have clarified that essential services and IT companies have been exempted from the Janta curfew which will be from July 9 to 16.
Hinjawadi Sarpanch Aarti Waghmare and Marunji Sarpanch Poonam Buchade, as well as Maan Garam Panchayat, has informed the decision of Janta curfew. The IT companies’ employees will have to show identity cards to access the roads. They have to wear mask while commuting.
Emergency services like medical store, grocery shops have been excluded and milk supply has been allowed from 6 am to 9 am. The sarpanch said the drastic steps were taken because of the growing prevalence of the COVID19. Meanwhile, if an unmasked citizen is found in these areas, he/she will be fined Rs 500. IT companies’ employees have been allowed to attend offices in the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park.
Meanwhile, many areas and buildings have been declared micro containment zones in Hinjawadi and neighbouring villages. In the last three days (till July 7), there were 27 positive cases in the areas around the Rajiv Gandhi IT Park including eight in Hinjawadi, six in Nerhe, three in Jambe, five in Maan and five in Marunji.
Due to several COVID cases, Maval-Mulshi Sub Divisional Officer Sandesh Shirke has declared micro containment zone in the following places:
Hinjawadi – Mukainagar; Tower 12, 20, B2 in Blue Ridge Township; Guna PG Laxmi Chowk
Maan – Sparklet in Megapolis
Kasarsai – Vitthal Mandir area
Male – Shende Patil Vasti
Bavdhan – B22, High Class Residency, Patilnagar
Pirangut – A, B Wing in Onkar Society; Plot no. 201 Townhouse k Biva; Niwasnagar society
Bavdhan Budruk – Karan Suncoast
Bavdhan – Jadhav vasti
Hadshi – Bodh Vasahat
Bhukum – Vairavnath Mandir area
Bhugaon – Karanjawane Ramnadi area; Sidhivinayak society Sanasnagar
Malegaon – Malegaon Gaothan area
In these micro containment zones, there will be restriction on movement of the residents.
