JSPM’s RSCOE students attend training workshop to get an experience of Pune Metro Tunnel Boring Machine

A special training program was organized by J. Kumar Infra Projects with the aim of helping students and researchers to experience the new technology in the civil engineering sector. JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering is at the forefront of providing innovative and high quality training in engineering to their students. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, Principal, RSCOE himself from the department of civil engineering and guides various research scholars. Dr. Jain decided to send the students for this training program in view of the importance of this training program and its future use to the students. Students from the architecture department along with Prof. Gaussia Syed and Prof. Shruti Shinde of the college participated in this training program. The students received guidance from the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Rajkunvar Dubal.

To maintain the high standard work of Pune Metro, high-quality components and materials are being used in the ongoing work. This grand project involves the use of innovative and high-quality materials and civil engineering practices. In the Pune Metro project, for the first-ever time, a 100 m long tunnel boring machine will be used in India for the construction of an underground tunnel from Shivajinagar to Swargate. This machine has been brought for the first time in India from China by J. Kumar Infra Projects.

Mr. Yusuf Inamdar Departmental Officer, J. Kumar Infra Projects informed the children about the working of this machine. The students experienced the use of the Pune Metro Tunnel Boring Machine and its ability to work. J. Kumar Infra Projects awarded certificates to the students of Rajarshi Shahu Engineering College for the completion of the training program.

The students have been receiving encouragement and guidance in the field of engineering to achieve excellence and innovative quality training from MLA Dr. Tanajirao Sawant, Founder Secretary Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. Principal Dr. Jain congratulated the students for their achievement. Ravi Sawant, Assistant Director, Executive Director Prof. Sudhir Bhilare, Vice Principal Prof. A.S. Devasthali assisted the students in this program.
