Kashmir: Terrorists hurled a grenade at the security forces in Pulwama district

Srinagar, January 2, 2021: Terrorists have hurled a grenade at Security forces at the Tral bus stand in Awantipora of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Eight people have been injured in the attack. The militants managed to flee the scene after the attack. This is the third grenade attack in the valley in the last three days. Nine people, including a CRPF jawan, were injured in all these attacks.

According to the information received from the police, the grenade was hurled at the Tral bus stand by the terrorists targeting the CRPF personnel. The incident took place around 11.20 am. The grenade did not fall on the target and exploded on the other side of the road. About 8 people passing by were seriously injured due to its impact.

After the grenade exploded, the atmosphere at the bus stand became chaotic. People started screaming. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the opportunity, the attacking terrorists fled from there. Meanwhile, the security forces with the help of locals rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. As soon as the information was received, additional troops of SOG, Army and CRPF reached the spot, sealed off the area and started searching for the attackers.
