Kausar Baugh Co-Op Housing Society and Kausar Baug Masjid Trust rallies to help needy families.

PUNE 7 April 2020 : The Kausar Baugh Co-Op Housing Society and Kausar Baug Masjid Trust, kondhwa as part of its citizen initiative and public outreach program, will be distributing ration kits to the poor and needy persons from all communities who are facing difficulties due to lockdown imposed amid COVID 19.



The landmark Kausar Baug Masjid is the biggest centre of community worship in Pune City and one of the largest social platforms of Pune Muslims to reach out to all the communities at all times and also during crisis since its inception. The Housing and Masjid trust through its social initiatives have always strived for the cause of humanity and bringing relief and succour to the affected during difficult times.

The Trustees have planned this initiative to help the families of “Daily wage earners” responding to the call given by the state government especially the appeal of Pune Divisional Commissioner Shree Deepak Mhaisekat who has sought help from citizens and social groups to donate for the cause of poor and needy.

There are close to 250 families in Ambedkar Nagar, near Kausar Baug. Out of which 190 are Hindu families and remaining Muslim families, who will be covered during the first phase of the donation drive .Through this outreach the trustees plan to to ease the hardships of all the needy persons who are in dire need of ration for their survival following loss of their daily wages. The program is being sponsored by the Kausar Baug Masjid trust, under the leadership/Trustees of masjid.

The details of the programme are as below.

Time: 9 am to 11 am
Venue: Ambedkar Nagar, Opp. Capital Mall, NIBM, Kondhwa
Covering: An entire dwelling on 250 families.
No. of kits to be distributed: 250 ration kits, which should suffice for 3 weeks plus.
No. of days drive will go on: Planning to complete this in a single day.
