Khadki: Traffic Diversion For Vehicles Going Towards Pune On Highway

Pune, December 4, 2020: The work of the Khadki Metro station on the old Pune-Mumbai highway in Khadki area is underway. Accordingly, changes will be made in traffic movement on an experimental basis by the Khadki Traffic Division from Friday (December 4). There will be no change in the route for vehicles going from Pune to Mumbai.

The Khadki Metro Station will be constructed between Harris Bridge and CAFVD ground on the old Mumbai-Pune highway. For this, changes will be made in the traffic route on an experimental basis from December 4 till further orders of the Khadki Traffic Division of Pune police. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Rahul Shrirame has issued orders in this regard.

Two-wheelers, cars, rickshaws, tempos and other light vehicles travelling from Bopodi Chowk to Pune will be banned on the road from Mumbai to Pune. Light vehicles will have to take a turn in front of Star Hotel at Khadki Railway Station, proceed on Mahatma Gandhi Road till Khadki Bazar Ganpati Mandir and then turn right at either MSEB office or Business Center and go from CAFVD Circle in front of Supply Depot to Church Chowk (Samadhan Chowk) on the highway.

Heavy vehicles like PMPML buses, ST buses, trucks etc. will be able to go straight to Church Chowk on the old Pune-Mumbai road. No changes have been made for vehicles travelling from Pune to Mumbai, said the traffic branch.
