Koregaon Park: Pune Police Raid Two Spa Centres, Rescue 9 Girls From Prostitution

Pune, 7th May 2021: The officials from different units of the Crime Branch of the Pune city police raided two spa centres in Koregaon Park on May 5 and rescued nine girls allegedly forced into prostitution. Police have arrested the managers of the massage centres while their owners are on the run.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Police Inspector Shilpa Chavan and API Jubair Mujawar of the social security cell conducted raids at Femina Spa and Yognidra Spa in Koregaon Park. The rescued girls are now staying at a shelter home.

An FIR has been registered at Koregaon Park police station against manager Aftabuddin Nuruddin (27) and owner Chand Bibi Ramzan Mujawar of Femina Spa and manager Shubham Premkumar Thapa (22) of Assam and owner Abdul Asif of Yognidra Spa.

The officials from Koregaon Park police station and Bharosa Cell’s Senior Citizen Cell and Child Protection Cell were also part of the raiding team.
