LAVA launches mega consumer offer ahead of the festive season

Pune, 16th October, 2015: LAVA International Limited, one of India’s leading companies in the mobile handset industry, today announced its festive offer ahead of Durga Puja, Dusshera and Diwali to celebrate the impending festive season across India. The company announced that on purchase of every LAVA mobile phone – be it feature phone or smartphone, the customers will be eligible to avail a one-time screen replacement offer within 365 days from the date of purchase. The offer has begun from October 13th, 2015 and will be valid till November 30th, 2015.

Lava, with its network of over 100,000 retailers & 1100 service centers country-wide will be able to deliver on this promise with ease. As per the latest survey conducted by Siliconindia on the popularity and quality of services of the Indian smartphone brands, Lava emerged as the best Indian brand in terms of product quality & after-sales services (cost effective service solution, turnaround times and service policies). An overwhelming 90 percent of the respondents ranked Lava as the top brand on both these parameters.

Commenting on the offer Mr. Luke Prakash, Vice President and National Head – Sales & Distribution, Lava International Limited said, “At the onset I would like to convey my best wishes to everyone hoping that the upcoming festivals bring in prosperity in their life. The company sold more than 28-million handsets and crossed $1 billion in revenue in FY 14-15, registering more than 100 per cent growth over the previous year. Overall, smartphone sales witnessed a three-fold growth with 300 per cent increase in volume. Besides India, the company now has business across eight countries and is the number 2 smartphone brand in Thailand.

Interestingly, analysts estimate a sequential growth of 24% and 26% in overall and smartphone market in Q3 2015 due to high sell-in in anticipation of festive season. Not only this, according to industry estimates, promotions and incentives during festive season have resulted in better recall of smartphone brands across categories.
