Leopard Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle On Pune-Nashik Highway

Pune, 24th January 2023: A leopard died after being hit by a speeding car on the Warulwadi bypass road on the Pune-Nashik highway in Narayangaon. The dead leopard (female) had severe head injuries. There was profuse bleeding at the scene. This incident happened in the early hours of the morning.

After getting the information about this, Dinesh Sable of Narayangaon police station’s night patrol team, home guard Rahul Satpute, Bharat Muthe, home guard Sandesh Khokrale, and police Patil Bhujbal came to the spot. After that, police officer Sable informed the forest department about this.

Police Patil Sushant Bhujbal informed, “The dead leopard was taken to the Leopard Sanctuary in Manikdoh for post-mortem. This is the fifth incident of a wild animal being killed in a collision with a vehicle in the last year in this area.”
