LG Electronics conducted a workshop in Pune to spread awareness about the Coronavirus

Pune, March 18, 2020: LG Electronics, India’s leading consumer durable major organized a major workshop to help build awareness about Covid-19 and the Coronavirus, as part of its CSR initiative in Pune. In the Samta Nagar slum area, LG organized a workshop and distributed face masks and sanitizers to over three hundred families present at the Chhatrapati Shivray Hospital located in the Yerwada area. The activity took place in association with former Deputy Mayor of Pune Municipal Corporation Dr. Siddharth Yeshwant Dhende who briefed the present families about measures how to control the spread of this virus.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Rohit Keshkamat – Regional Business Head, LG Electronics India said “LG has always been promoting a healthy and hygienic lifestyle, through its various efforts. India is a diverse country that needs to be educated about the measures necessary to fight the deadly Coronavirus. It has become imperative to be aware of how to fight the disease, especially for those who cannot afford expensive healthcare. We thank the Honorable Deputy Mayor of Pune in helping us implement this initiative to spread awareness in the grassroots of this country. Few essential items like face masks & sanitizers were distributed to keep people safe. Together we can prepare & keep ourselves safe by following daily hygiene.”

LG’s efforts to spread awareness in the Samta Nagar slum area comes across at a time when the Government is actively encouraging the country and its people to spread correct information across all sectors of society.
