Lockdown 4 in Pune, Check What is Allowed, What is Not Allowed

Pune, May 19, 2020: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has finally released the guidelines about what is allowed, what is not allowed in Pune during the fourth phase of the lockdown till May 31. Now PMC has reduced the number of containment zones from 69 to 65. Also, days for shops have been decided when they can open.

 

As per the order issued by PMC Commissioner Shekhar Gaikwad, no citizen will be moving out of the house between The movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 7 pm to 7 am except for essential activities. All persons above 65 years, pregnant women and kids below 10 years have to remain inside homes and come out only when it is absolutely necessary. Also, if any Coronavirus positive patient is found in any building/society, then it will be sealed and included in the containment zone.

 

Guidelines for areas outside containment zones: Prohibited business – Malls, shopping complexes, autorickshaw/cab, beauty parlour, salon, spa, transport buses are not allowed.

Essential services – Hospital, Medical stores, essential commodities factories, their raw material supplier shops, IT hardware materials, packaging goods, food processing like bread factory, flour mill etc, can be started following timing for the staffs.

Domestic Maids – A person living outside the containment zone can go to work as a domestic maid if the owner allows. They have to follow Corona preventive measures like wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer etc.  

Senior Citizens – Now services of caretaker, helper, nurse, driver, maid allowed for senior citizens. They have to follow Corona preventive measures like wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer etc

Government offices – All central government offices can work with deputy secretary and above rank officers and 33% junior staffs. The state government offices have to follow guidelines of the state (5% staffs).

Newspaper distribution – Newspaper can be distributed from 7 am to 10 am, if the buyer wants. The person distributing newspaper has to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer. Electronic media, cable service will continue.

Financial services – Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other institutions under its control can function with minimum staffs. Banks, ATM, insurance companies allowed to open.

E-commerce/courier – Home delivery of essential goods can be done by e-commerce companies. Courier services allowed.

Vehicle use – Personal vehicle can be used for allowed work only. Also, in a four-wheeler, two persons plus driver is allowed, while only one person allowed on a bike no pillion rider.

IT/ITeS sector – IT, ITeS companies can work with 50 % staffs. Those engaged in call centre, data service have to work with minimum staffs.

Food services – Parcel of food allowed.

Construction Work – Sites where workers are staying allowed to work as per PMC permission like Pune Metro, construction sites etc

 

Street Vendors – Except the following roads, street vendors can do business on other roads from 7 am to 7 pm. There should be a gap of 10 meters between two vendors. They have to wear a mask, hand gloves. However vendors not allowed on Shivaji Road, Bajirao Road, Solapur Road, Hadapsar- Gadital-Magarpatta Chowk, Fursungi road, Saswad Road, Pune-Satara Road, Nagar Road, Airport road (via Yerwada Jail), Sinhagad Road, Jangli Maharaj Road, Fergusson College Road, Ganeshkhind Road, Paud Road, Dhayari Phata to Dhayari last bus stop.

 

Security services – All security offices providing services to private companies and housing societies.

 

Shops – PMC has allowed non-essential shops as per days between 7 am to 7 pm. However, if there are more than five such shops on a public road, then only five such shops will be allowed and all essential shops will be allowed to open on that road.

 

The shopkeeper and employees must be staying outside the containment zone. They should have identity cards with photo. They should use hand gloves and masks. Also, hand sanitizer/soap should be regularly used for cleaning hands. Also, shopkeepers have to use 1% Sodium hypochlorite (bleach) for cleaning outside area and staircase. Also, the sale counter should be cleaned after the customer goes. People going to buy anything must use a mask. Social distancing should be maintained. There should be six feet gap between customers.

 

Monday – Electronic goods, computer products, mobile phones, utensils, Ironing and laundry, tailor, Stationery, raw materials for medical requirements, jewellery and other precious metals, photo studio, photo frame, optical (spects) shop, all farming/agriculture-related shops, monsoon related products shops like raincoat, umbrella, plastic sheet etc 

 

Tuesday – Cycle shop/repair shop, Vehicle showroom, Automobile spare parts, household goods, furniture, plumbing, hardware, clothes, jewellery and other precious metals, construction material, dairy products, worship related materials, all farming/agriculture-related shops, 

 

Wednesday – Electronic goods, computer products, mobile phones, utensils, Ironing and laundry, tailor, footwear, Stationery, raw materials for medical requirements, jewellery and other precious metals, photo studio, photo frame, optical (spects) shop,  

 

Thursday – Cycle shop/repair shop, Vehicle showroom, Automobile spare parts, household goods, furniture, plumbing, hardware, clothes, jewellery and other precious metals, construction material, dairy products, worship related materials, monsoon related products shops like raincoat, umbrella, plastic sheet etc 

 

Friday – Electronic goods, computer products, mobile phones, utensils, Ironing and laundry, tailor, Stationery, raw materials for medical requirements, jewellery and other precious metals, photo studio, photo frame, optical (spects) shop, all farming/agriculture-related shops, monsoon related products shops like raincoat, umbrella, plastic sheet etc 

 

Saturday – Cycle shop/repair shop, Vehicle showroom, Automobile spare parts, garage, household goods, furniture, plumbing, hardware, clothes, jewellery and other precious metals, construction material, dairy products, worship related materials, monsoon related products shops like raincoat, umbrella, plastic sheet etc, photo studio, photo frame, all farming/agriculture-related shops, transport companies godowns

 

Sunday – Electronic goods, computer products, mobile phones, utensils, Ironing and laundry, garage, tailor, Stationery, footwear, raw materials for medical requirements, jewellery and other precious metals, optical (spects) shop, all farming/agriculture-related shops, monsoon related products shops like raincoat, umbrella, palsticsheet etc, transport companies godowns

 

Use of Aarogya Setu: Aarogya Setu enables early identification of potential risk of infection, and thus acts as a shield for individuals and the community. With a view to ensuring safety in offices and workplaces, employers on best effort basis should ensure that Aarogya Setu is installed by all employees having compatible mobile phones. 

 

General instructions: Wearing of face cover is compulsory in all public and workplaces. Spitting in public and workplaces shall be punishable with fine as may be prescribed in accordance with laws, rules or regulations. Social distancing shall be followed by all persons in public places and in transport. Marriage related gathering shall ensure social distancing and the maximum number of guests allowed shall not be more than 50.

 

Funeral/last rites related gathering shall ensure social distancing and the maximum number of guests allowed shall not be more than 20. Consumption of liquor, paan, tobacco, etc in public places is not allowed. Shops (including liquor shops) will ensure minimum of 6 feet distance among customers and shall not allow more than 5 persons at the shop.  

 

Staggering of work/business hours shall be followed in offices, workplaces, shops, markets and industrial & commercial establishments. Provision for thermal scanning, hand wash, sanitizer will be made at all entry and exit points and common areas. Frequent sanitization of entire workplace, common facilities and all points which come into human contact e.g. door handles etc., shall be ensured, including between shifts. All persons in charge of workplaces shall ensure social distancing through the adequate distance between workers, adequate gaps between shifts, staggering the lunch breaks of staff, etc.
