Lockdown 4: PCMC issues revised guidelines of private offices, markets, PMPML buses to run

Pimpri Chinchwad, May 21, 2020: In the fourth phase of lockdown, Pimpri-Chinchwad city has been excluded from the red zone. Therefore, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has decided to restore public life in the city. Now all the shops in the city market are allowed to open from Friday (22nd), the industrial units are allowed to start at full capacity. 

 

Shopping hours will be from 9 am to 5 pm. Shops have to open following odd even days (P1, P2) mode and maintain social distance. Permission will not be required to open shops. Excluding 47 containment zones in PCMC areas, PMPML will operate buses with 50 per cent capacity (21 passengers) from May 26. However, life will remain restricted in the containment zones. Workers should get permission to come from the red zone. The new rules have been announced by PCMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar.

 

Also, all private offices, IT companies have been allowed to operate with 50% employees and remaining employees can work from home. Home delivery of food, goods can be done by e-commerce companies from 10 am to 8 pm. People can use personal vehicle. In a four-wheeler, two persons plus driver is allowed, while only one person is allowed on a bike no pillion rider. In cab and autorickshaw, maximum two passengers allowed.

 

The movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 7 pm to 7 am except for essential activities. All persons above 65 years, pregnant women and kids below 10 years have to remain inside homes and come out only when it is necessary. Also, if any Coronavirus positive patient is found in any building/society, then it will be sealed and included in the containment zone.

 

No air travel without the permission of the Union Home Ministry. Schools, colleges, training institutes, coaching classes closed.  Hotels, malls, cinemas, gyms, swimming pools, bars, auditoriums closed. All  religious, educational, social, cultural events, gatherings, conventions banned.  Religious places are also closed.

 

Use of Aarogya Setu: Aarogya Setu enables early identification of potential risk of infection, and thus acts as a  shield for individuals and the community. To ensure safety in offices and workplaces, employers on best effort basis should ensure that Aarogya Setu is installed by all employees having compatible mobile phones. 

 

General instructions: Wearing of face cover is compulsory in all public and workplaces. Spitting in public and workplaces shall be punishable with fine as may be prescribed by following laws, rules or regulations. Social distancing shall be followed by all persons in public places and in transport. Marriage related gathering shall ensure social distancing and the maximum number of guests allowed shall not be more than 50.

Consumption of liquor, paan, tobacco, etc in public places is not allowed. Shops will ensure a minimum of 6 feet distance among customers and shall not allow more than 5 persons at the shop.  

 

Staggering of work/business hours shall be followed in offices, workplaces, shops, markets and industrial & commercial establishments. Provision for thermal scanning, hand wash, the sanitizer will be made at all entry and exit points and common areas. Frequent sanitization of entire workplace, common facilities and all points which come into human contact e.g. door handles etc., shall be ensured, including between shifts. All persons in charge of workplaces shall ensure social distancing through the adequate distance between workers, adequate gaps between shifts, staggering the lunch breaks of staff, etc.
