Lonavala: NCB Recovers Marijuana Worth Rs 50 Lakhs From Canada In Post Office Parcel

Pune, October 18, 2020: The sleuths from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai have nabbed two persons in Lonavala and recovered marijuana worth Rs 50 lakhs in the international market.

“Source of the seized contraband is Canada and destination was Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Price of seized contraband in the international market is around 50 lakh to 55 lakh”, NCB said.

According to NCB, on October 16 their team intercepted one parcel at Lonavala post office and seized 1036 grams of curated Marujauana/Ganja/Bud. During the further investigation, 74 grams of curated Marujauana/Ganja/Bud seized at C4/701 Bhimashankar CHS, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

The arrested persons have been identified as Shrimay Shah (26) of Ahmedabad and Omkar Tupe (28) of Nerul, Navi Mumbai. They have been charged for offences under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
