Lonavala: Traffic Block On Mumbai-Pune Expressway for ITMS Project Installation Tomorrow
Lonavala, 10th January 2024: In a noteworthy development impacting commuters, Yogesh Bhosale, a Highway State Police official, has issued a notification regarding a planned traffic block on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The disruption, scheduled for January 11, is attributed to the ongoing installation of gantries, a crucial component of the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) project.
The traffic block is slated to take place between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm on Thursday. Within this timeframe, the installation of two strategically important gantries is set to occur at Km 29.400 and Km 9.800 on the expressway. These installations play a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of the ITMS, which aims to enhance road safety and streamline traffic management.
