Madam Chief Minister: Richa Chadha Is Receiving Death Threats

Mumbai, January 18, 2021:Bollywood actress Richa Chadha has been engulfed in controversy these days regarding her upcoming film ‘Madam Chief Minister’. Recently some posters and trailers of the film have been released which has created problems for the actress. Though the actress has apologized seeing the controversy escalating, the matter is still nowhere near close to ending.

Richa is being threatened to be killed, not only this, Nawab Satpal Tawar, the Chief of Bhima Army, has even announced to give the prize to the one who cuts off her tongue and gives it to him.

However, ‘Madam Chief Minister’ says that she is not afraid of these threats. At the same time, Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar has supported Richa in this matter and has condemned such behaviour.

Swara retweeted a tweet on her Instagram. In the tweet, some newspaper cuttings are visible upon which it is clearly written that the person who cuts off Richa Chadha’s tongue will be rewarded. At the same time, it was also announced to also award a prize to the kidnapper of the film’s director Subhash Kapoor.

Retweeting the tweet of a user named Bhupendra Chaudhary, Swara wrote, ‘This is absolutely shameful and to be condemned. You can have ideological issues and problems with a film but this is criminal intimidation and incitement to violence. Ambedkarites, Dalits, feminists, and sane people- stand up and call this out! ‘ #NOT OK’”. Madam Chief Minister is releasing in Theaters on 22 January.

Richa apologized

On the chaos that arose after the release of a poster, Richa issued a statement saying, ‘This film has been an experience for me. The promotion of the film is no different. After the release of the first poster of the film, it has received a lot of criticism which is also necessary. I have no role in making this promotional material, but by saying this I do not want to blame the producers. He has taken the criticism seriously and has released a new poster. I apologize for the mistake and assure you that it wasn’t intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments’.
