The possibility of Madhuri Dixit contesting from Mumbai for the BJP gained traction, although a senior party leader clarified that such discussions are not official within the party.

In the preceding Lok Sabha elections, there were rumors of Madhuri Dixit contesting from Pune, which her spokesperson dismissed as false and imaginary. The speculation resurfaced when BJP national president Amit Shah met Madhuri Dixit as part of the ‘Support for Contact’ campaign. During an interview with ANI, Madhuri Dixit addressed the political rumors, stating, ‘I am aware of the discussions about my entry into politics. But these are just rumors. I will not contest elections from any political party. Please don’t do this,’ urging against the spread of such baseless speculations.
