Maharashtra: 467 New Covid-19 Positive Cases, 234 New Omicron Positive Cases Reported In Mumbai Today
Mumbai, 3rd March 2022: 467 new Covid-19 positive cases reported today in Maharashtra while 1144 patients discharged today 77,14,719 COVID-19 patients discharged after full recovery until today. The recovery rate in the state is 98.06%. 12 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state today. The case fatality rate is the state is 1.82%.
Out of 7,80,65,969 laboratory samples 78,67,391 have been tested positive (10.08%) for COVID-19 until today.
Currently 42,118 people are in home quarantine and 602 people are in institutional quarantine.
Omicron surveillance related information: –
Today, 234 patients with Omicron infection have been reported in the state. All these patients
have been reported by Kasturba hospital’s Laboratory.

Till date, a total of 5005 patients infected with Omicron variant have been reported in the
state.
Out of these, 4629 cases have been discharged following a negative RT PCR test.
Until now 9382 samples have been sent for genome sequencing, out of which, results of 8714 patients have been received. 668 results are awaited.
