Maharashtra Farmers will have to file one application for various schemes

Mumbai, June 20, 2019 : The schemes meant for farmers including Crop Insurance Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, drought relief and other schemes should be included in the MahaDBT portal that is being developed. Farmers should be provided the facility to give just one application for all the schemes related to agriculture in this portal. This directions were given by agricultural minister Dr Anil Bonde here today.

He was addressing a meeting organized at the Vidhan Bhavan. Secretary of Agricultural department Eknath Dawale, Director of Nanaji Deshmukh Krushi Sanjeevani project Vikas Rastogi were are also present.

A new portal of MahaDBT is being develop so as to provide information related to all agricultural schemes to the farmers and help in transferring the subsidy and grant benefit directly into their bank accounts. Agricultural department made a presentation of this portal before Mr Bonde.

The Minister said that the possibility of including the Maharashtra Agro Industrial Development Corporation (MAIDC) in this portal should also be chalked out. Presently, there is information about 11 schemes on this portal including Pradhan Mantri Krishi sinchan Yojana (Prime minister agriculture, irrigation scheme), Ekatmik phal-baagh Yojana (Integrated horticulture scheme), Bhausaheb Fundkar falbag Yojana(Bhausaheb Fundkar Horticulture scheme), Birsa Munda Krishi Swavalamban Yojana (Birsa Munda agriculture self sufficiency scheme), Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Krishi Swavalamban Yojana (Dr Babasaheb agricultural self sufficient scheme), drought area development, national food security, food grains, oil seeds, sugarcane, cotton, Agricultural Development Scheme (individual beneficiaries).

The farmers will have to register their names with the portal first and then apply for the benefit.
