Maharashtra: FYJC Admission Deadline to June 5

Mumbai, 3rd June 2025: The Maharashtra School Education Department has extended the deadline for Class 11 First Year Junior College (FYJC) online admissions to June 5 at 2 PM. The previous deadline was June 3. This extension, announced by Sriram Pamjhade, Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, aims to provide students, schools, and junior colleges more time to update their preferences in the centralized admission system.
Meanwhile, the state school education department has urged students and parents to keep an eye on the official FYJC portal for further updates on the admission process and preference submissions.
Update on In-House Quota Policy
Initially, the state had ruled that the 10% in-house quota would not apply across different campuses under the same management. However, after objections from educational institutions, the government revised the rule. Now, schools and junior colleges located within the same revenue district (excluding Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, and Thane, which are treated as one unit) can apply the in-house quota.
