Maharashtra government announces 60 percent cut in salaries of MLAs, CM, 50 percent for Group A,B employees

Mumbai, March 31, 2020: The entire country is engaged in dealing with the coronavirus, for which the state governments are also making every effort.

Maharashtra has the highest number of cases (225) of corona infection in the country. State Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has ordered a 60 percent reduction in the salary for the month of March for all MLAs, including the Chief Minister, and legislative councilors.

Also, Group A and B employees will get only 50 percent salary, while Group C employees will face 25 % cut in their salaries. There will be no deduction in salaries of Group D employees.
