Maharashtra Government Cancels Class 10th SSC Geography Paper

Mumbai, April 12, 2020: “Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we’ve decided to cancel the second semester examinations for grade 9th & 11th. Also, we’ve decided to cancel the last examination which was unresolved for grade 10th”, tweeted State education minister Varsha Gaikwad.

The SSC Board exam began on March 3 but due to rising cases of Coronavirus in the state, the Geography paper was being postponed. Now finally it has been canceled. In order to prevent the loss of 10th and 12th students in the situations arising out of the lockdown, the students of 10th and 12th will have their books available on the website in a pdf form.

Meanwhile, as per the information available Pune district health officer, the total number of Coronavirus Positive patients has reached 282 till 5 pm today. A total of 29 of them have died , while 38 have been cured and discharged from hospitals. Therefore, there are 215 active cases in the district.

Two patients died at Sassoon hospital during treatment today. They include a 58-year-old woman from Sangamwadi and a 56-year-old woman from Somwar Peth. They were also suffering other ailments besides being Coronavirus positive.

There has been an increase of 918 new #COVID19 cases and 31 deaths in last 24 hours across the country taking India’s total number of #Coronavirus positive cases to 8447 (including 7409 active cases, 765 cured/discharged/migrated and 273 deaths), according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
