Maharashtra Government honours ‘Sofosh’ Pune with ‘Balsnehi Award 2024’
Pune, 11th March 2025: ‘Sofosh’ Pune, which has been actively involved in the protection, rehabilitation, and adoption process of orphaned and destitute children for more than 60 years, was recently honoured with the prestigious ‘Balsnehi Award 2024’ by the Maharashtra Government in the category of ‘Best Specialized Adoption Agency.’ This award was presented during a program organized by the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights at Yashwantrao Chavan Center, Mumbai. CA. Sachin Abhyankar, Chairperson of ‘SOFOSH’ accepted this award on behalf of the organization.
Aditi Tatkare – Minister of Women and Child Development, Meghna Bordikar – State Minister, Adv. Sushiben Shah – Chairperson of the Commission along with other dignitaries were present during this program.
Officers and organizations who made significant contributions to child protection were also felicitated during this program.
