Maharashtra govt cancels final year/semester exams of professional, non-professional courses

Mumbai, June 26, 2020: Maharashtra Government has decided to not conduct the final year/final semester examination of the non-professional courses as well as professional courses as the present atmosphere is not yet conducive to conduct any examination or classes.

The State has also decided to award degrees based on the formula decided by the universities. Therefore, CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray has written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting to instruct national level apex authorities like AICTE, COA, PCI, BCI, NCTE & National Council For Hotel Management & Catering Technology to endorse the decision of the State Government regarding cancellation of final year/ final semester examinations of the Professional courses & issue guidelines to the Universities.

 

CM Thackeray has previously also written to the PM Modi requesting intervention to direct the Medical Council of India (MCI) to postpone the MD/MS & DM/MCh examination as the final year resident doctors are playing a crucial role in fighting this pandemic.
