Maharashtra Krishi Din: Agriculture Graduates planted five plants each in Junnar

Pune, July 1, 2020: On the occasion of Krishi Din, alumni of all four agriculture universities of the state have taken an initiative of planting five fruit trees in Junnar taluka. Around 250 graduates from Junnar have participated in this initiative.

Swikar Badhe, one of the alumni said, “All agriculture graduates in Junnar taluka have taken this initiative to plant five fruits trees in their farms or in their neighbourhood to give a message to the entire state and country about the importance of plantation and how it can help the entire ecosystem. If everyone will plant five plants in their surrounding it will benefit the entire ecosystem.”

He further said, “We have planted mostly fruit trees such as Mango, Chiku, Jackfruit etc so that once it grows, it will not only benefit the environment but also the next generation by giving fruits.”

Badhe also informed that this initiative was promoted on social media as well for better awareness.
