Maharashtra: MSEDCL Announces Waiting List for Electrical Assistant Posts; Document Verification on November 6 and 7
Mumbai, 1st November 2025: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), also known as Mahavitaran, has announced a waiting list of 1,847 candidates for the post of Electrical Assistant. The list was released on Friday, October 31, on the company’s official website — www.mahadiscom.in — in accordance with recruitment rules.
Verification of original documents and certificates of all candidates on the waiting list will be conducted at their respective allotted circle offices on November 6 and 7. The verification process will begin at 10 am each day. If the process remains incomplete on the scheduled day, it will continue the following day.
Mahavitaran had conducted the online aptitude test for 5,381 Electrical Assistant posts between May 20 and 22, 2024, under Advertisement No. 06/2023. Following the test, the selection list and circle allotments were announced. Verification of the shortlisted candidates’ documents was conducted in two phases — from August 20 to 22 and September 9 to 10 — across five days.
Based on the rules, the waiting list has been prepared up to 50 percent of the advertised posts, considering ineligibility, absenteeism, and other category-wise factors. However, as per the order issued by the Commissioner for Disability Welfare on September 10, 2025, the selection process for candidates under the Divyang (Persons with Disabilities) category will remain on hold until further notice. Accordingly, the Divyang category has been excluded from the waiting list.
Mahavitaran has clarified that candidates who fail to appear for document verification will be disqualified, and no further correspondence will be entertained. The appointment process for those who qualify after scrutiny and verification will be carried out by the respective circle offices.
The complete waiting list and related details are available on Mahavitaran’s official website www.mahadiscom.in.
