Maharashtra Real Estate Association Opposes Centre’s Rent Act

Pune, December 12, 2020: Association of Real Estate Agents has demanded not to implement the Centre’s Rent Act in the state. The members of the association met deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in that regard. They has also submitted a proposal mentioning that the Live and License agreement of Maharashtra is the ideal rent Act.

Association president Sachin Shingavi said, “Various conditions led in the act are discriminatory and are complex legally. Currently, the stamp duty for deposit is 0.25 percent while registration fee is just Rs1,000.”
