Maharashtra should show unity for solving the problems of the state urges CM in all party MP meet

Mumbai, January 27:- “All the MP’s of Maharashtra should come together to follow-up the issues related to the welfare of Maharashtra, across the party lines. The state should show unity on all the issues related to the development of the state” appealed Chief Minister Mr Uddhav Thackeray.

He was addressing the MP’s from various parts of the state at the all party MP meeting today, here at the Sahayadri guest house. Meanwhile, a committee for following-up the pending important issues of Maharashtra with the various departments of the union government was also formed with MP Arvind Sawant as its coordinator. The Chief Minister assured that the committee will be provided place in the Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi. MP Sharad Pawar and ministers of Maharashtra cabinet Mr Jayant Patil, Mr Subhash Desai, Mr Eknath Shinde, Mr Dadaji Bhuse, Mr Nawab Malik, Aslam Shaikh, Aditya Thackeray, chief secretary Mr Ajoy Mehta were also present on the occasion.

The chief minister further appealed that the Maharashtra MP’s shoud work as members of a family in Delhi and should make all out efforts for getting the problems of the people of Maharashtra solved. He said that if the questions are raised with unity, they will be addressed effectively. He also stated that the people had elected the MP’s for doing their work. Chief Minister Mr Uddhav Thackeray said that all the topics that were raised during the meeting of MP’s today will be discussed in the meeting of secretaries of various departments and they will be solved with priority/

He also said that in last two months, he had given justice to various issues of the state. Mr Thackeray said that during the Nagpur session of the state legislature, he organized meetings in all the districts of Vidarbha and Marathwada regions. He said that now meetings for west Maharashtra and north Maharashtra regions will be organized for addressing the pending issues necessary for the development of the state.

All party members show unity on border issue

All the important issues related to Maharashtra are being followed up with the union government and it is necessary to make amendments in the Crop Insurance Scheme. He said that out of the 15 thousand crore rupees required for compensating the losses caused by the flood and unseasonal rains in the state 990 crore rupees have been sanctioned and the MP’s from Maharashtra should take regular follow up with the union government for getting the rest of the amount. He said that the state government is standing with the people staying on the border area of Maharashtra- Karnataka and urged the Members of Parliament to be united in order to resolve the border dispute. He also said that a letter had been sent to the central government for giving the ‘Elite status’ to the Marathi language and appealed them to follow this issue.

The Chief Minister said that there are many open spaces in Mumbai belonging to Railway and various departments of the union government and this land should be given to the state government for construction of affordable houses to the needy and downtrodden people.

MP Sharad Pawar suggested that for following up the issues of Maharashtra with the center, all party committee should be constituted. Water resources minister Mr Jayant Patil appealed to the MP’s that the funds for Pradhanmantri Aawas Yojana is pending with the union government since long and they should take efforts to ensure that Maharashtra gets this fund. All the MPs from various parts of the state raised the pending issues related to their constituencies and assured that they will be following up the issues related to the welfare of the state with unity. Additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries of various departments were present during the meeting.
