Maharashtra tourism gets a boost in the London exhibition ‘World Travel Mart’

London/Mumbai, 6th November 2019: Efforts were made in ‘World Travel Mart’ organized at London to boost Maharashtra tourism through the medium of B2B meeting with more than fifty tourism organizations and companies from all over the world. A press conference was also organized at London and information on tourist destinations and tourism opportunities in Maharashtra was given in the press conference. Vinita Ved- Singal, Tourism Secretary of the state communicated with all and gave the message- ‘Let’s visit Maharashtra’.

Tourism businessmen readily visited various programmes held in the exhibition. Tourists also responded cheerfully to the cultural programme that took place in front of the Maharashtra Tourism stall.  Thousands of tourists from all over the world visited the stall and took the information about tourist destinations in Maharashtra. Ramdas Khedkar, Deputy-Director of the Tourism Department communicated with the tourists and gave information about tourism treasure of Maharashtra.

Ajantha, Ellora better than Angkor wat

The architecture of Angkor wat Temple in Cambodia is world-famous tourist attraction.  But some journalists in London opined that architecture of temples in Maharashtra and artistries of Ajantha-Ellora are better than Angkor wat.  A presentation of various tourist destinations in Maharashtra was presented to the journalists. Information on Maharashtrian festivals, tiger tourism, dressing and food culture, forts, caves, seacoasts, and forests, etc. was presented through VDO.

Tourism Secretary of the state Vinita Ved- Singal communicated with various travel companies, tour operators, tourism-heritage scholars, trekkers, wildlife lovers, jungle safari and cruise tourism businessmen, enthusiastic tourists and journalists from all over the world, through the medium of B2B meetings. She assured that State Government will completely cooperate with all tourism organizations and businessmen and they should bring tourists on Maharashtra tour.

Sudhir Patil, Director of Veena World also visited Maharashtra Tourism stall today. Secretary Vinita Ved- Singal, Tourism Deputy- Director Ramdas Khedkar welcomed him.
