Maharashtra Women Commission To Hold Public Hearings In Pune, Check Details

Pune, 18th July 2022: The women of Pune can now put forth their grievances before the Maharashtra Women Commission in Pune.

Rupali Chakankar, Chairperson of the state women commission, has decided to implement an initiative ‘Mahila Aayog Aaplya Dari’ (Women Commission at Your Doorstep).

The public hearing of the complaints in Pune will be held on July 19 at the District Collector’s office from 11 am.

The complaints from Pune rural will be heard on July 20 at 11 am at the Collector’s Office and on July 21, the complaints from Pimpri-Chinchwad will be heard at the Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Smarak around 11 am.

The Women Commission is implementing the initiative for women to get justice in their respective districts. The administration, legal advisor, counsellor and district coordinator will be present during this public hearing. It is not possible for women from rural areas to visit the Mumbai office to lodge a complaint or to attend the hearing in person due to financial and other reasons.
