Maharastra born Indian professional footballer raising funds for Mizoram flood

Meet Jayesh Rane- an Indian professional footballer who played a huge role in Mizoram’s Aizawl FC winning the I-League this season, have decided to extend a helping hand to ailing people in their adopted state which has been battered by continuous rainfall over the last few days.

Unabating rains since the last three days have led to flash floods and landslides in several northeastern states among which Mizoram and Assam are the worst hit. It has been estimated that thousands of families in the state of Mizoram have been affected by the heavy rains, according to the disaster management and rehabilitation department officials. Many districts in the southern and eastern parts of Mizoram have been cut off from the rest of the country due to landslides caused by the endless rains. He with his team member Ashutosh Mehta have started a fundraising campaign to help out the crisis-stricken people of Mizoram. The campaign with a goal amount of 5 lakhs is grabbing crowds support and love.
