Man Caught Secretly Filming in Pune Public Washroom, Arrested
Kothrud, 24th March 2025: Days after a shocking public obscenity case sparked outrage in Pune, another disturbing incident has emerged in the Kothrud area. A 35-year-old man was caught secretly recording videos of people using a public restroom during a dance festival. The accused, identified as Mangesh Jawahire, has been booked by Alankar Police Station following a complaint from a 48-year-old attendee.
The incident took place on Saturday evening around 7 PM at a lawn in Kothrud, where the festival was being held. Some attendees noticed Jawahire behaving suspiciously inside the restroom and soon realized he was filming. This led to immediate chaos as workers at the venue confronted him. When he attempted to flee, he was caught and beaten by bystanders before being handed over to the police.
Upon investigation, officers checked his phone and confirmed that he had recorded videos of men urinating in the restroom. Following the complaint, a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. The incident has sparked outrage among locals, raising concerns about privacy and public safety.
