Mandar Deogaokar Appointed to the Governing Board of DES Pune University

Pune, 5th August 2026: The Higher and Technical Education Department of the Government of Maharashtra has appointed Pune-based entrepreneur Mandar Deogaokar to the Governing Board of Deccan Education Society (DES) Pune University. The appointment has been made in accordance with the provisions of Section 27 of the Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2023, which provides for the constitution of the Governing Board.

Mandar Deogaokar completed his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the prestigious College of Engineering Pune (COEP). He subsequently earned a master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Project Management from the University of Texas, USA, followed by an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Deogaokar received his school education at the renowned Dnyan Prabodhini Prashala in Pune. He is currently engaged in the fields of construction, real estate, hospitality, and co-working spaces. He is also actively involved in social service through Nisarg Chhaya, an organisation dedicated to the welfare of senior citizens.
