Manipur Government Revokes Curfew Relaxation In Imphal Districts, Impacts Essential Services

Manipur, India, 3rd August 2023: The Manipur government issued a notification cancelling the relaxation in curfew for both Imphal East and Imphal West districts on Thursday. The order, passed by the District Magistrate’s office, revokes the curfew relaxation that was scheduled from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm on August 3rd, with immediate effect.

Additionally, the notification states that individuals engaged in essential services, including Health, PHED, Municipal Officials/Staff, Power (MSPDCL/MSPCL), Media personnel, and the functioning of Courts, will be exempted from any further imposition of curfew after the expiry of the previously mentioned relaxation period.
