Hadapsar, 3rd June 2025: A promotional event for the upcoming Bollywood film Housefull 5 turned chaotic on Sunday evening at Pune’s Seasons Mall, as thousands of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of superstar Akshay Kumar and the film’s cast. The massive turnout overwhelmed security arrangements, leading to overcrowding, panic, and questions about the readiness of event organizers.
The excitement to see Akshay Kumar up close brought fans from across the city, crowding every level of the mall. However, the situation quickly escalated, with many attendees—especially women, children, and senior citizens—struggling to breathe and exit the premises due to the swelling crowd. Several parts of the venue witnessed near-stampede-like conditions, triggering panic and distress among the audience.
Amid the growing chaos, Akshay Kumar himself took charge, urging fans to stay calm. “There are women and children here. Please avoid pushing,” he pleaded with folded hands, trying to de-escalate the situation.
