Massive Traffic Jam on Mumbai–Pune Expressway After Tanker Accident Near Lonavala
Lonavala, 23rd November 2025: An oil tanker overturned near Lonavla on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway on Sunday, causing a massive traffic jam stretching nearly 5 to 6 km.
The incident led to long delays for commuters travelling towards Pune, with vehicles moving bumper-to-bumper for over an hour. Police and authorities rushed to the spot to manage traffic and begin clearance work.
Motorists have been advised to proceed with caution and consider alternative routes as congestion is expected to continue until the road is fully cleared.
